Collaborative Practice
This process can only be undertaken by specially trained family lawyers. Carly Colclough, Director and Head of Family Law is our in-house Collaborative Law Specialist.
In the Collaborative Law process, both parties attend a series of meetings with their specially trained lawyers in a bid to agree matters without the need to attend Court.
We also work with Collaborative independent financial advisors, family consultants, child specialists, accountants and barristers as necessary.
All of the professionals collectively make up your collaborative team and allow the two of you to work together to get the best outcome for you both as a result of your separation.
You all sign an agreement that commits you to trying to resolve the issues without going to Court and prevents your specialists from representing you in Court if the collaborative process breaks down. This means that everyone is absolutely committed to finding the best solutions by agreement, rather than through Court proceedings.
The process has a very high success rate.
